This is how many people stopped by to read my blog

WOW!!!!!  I don't even know that many people!!

But--look at the number of comments left.

Why are you stopping by and not leaving a comment?  You don't have to have a blog to leave a comment.  You can just leave a comment and then type in your name or not.  You can just type, "Hi Judy." and that's all it takes.  I do love your advice, opinions and comments.

I just might have to do another MANDATORY, "leave your name and where you are from" comment requirement.  If you don't, I will only post commentaries on the political races for a whole week!!!  Now--none of us want that.  Right?
============================

My Social Security hit my checking account this morning so off I went to get my hair cut, eyebrows tamed, inkjet cartridges refilled and litter and cat food at the grocery store.

Now, I have a question.  Do any of you know someone who takes Prevagen?  The memory helper?

I expect an answer in the comments.  :-)

<which reminds me...rent was due today and I haven't even written out my check>

  1. I think most people don't comment because they don't want to sign up to be able to sign in. Even my sister doesn't comment! She sends me a text or email. Oh well! That's a lot of reads, Sister Blogger!!! Mine are about 60 on a good day ....

  2. That's a lot of visitors. I see it also, but some are when I go to my blog to see of there are any comments, that also counts in the total.

    1. Actually, you can NOT include your own visit. Look in settings!

    2. Yes--I have set mine up NOT to count my visits.

    3. Not going to argue - waste of time. LOL

  3. I think we can all cut our view count in half. If, for example, it says you got 80 views in one day, 40 people probably came back a second time to read the comments left. I have been known to come back to your blog 5-6 times if the topic is hot like when you blog about Dar.

I really wish people would leave comments more often but it is what it is. One of the ladies who comments on mine occasionally always gets 30-40 comments on hers. I wish I knew her secret. Bloggers like to write and blog readers like to read but don't necessarily have confidence in their own writing to comment. It's a basic difference on why we love the blog community.

  7. Hello, Judy! lol I do read every day and miss it very much when you skip a day or two. I've lost three followers this week. Maybe it's because I skipped blogging for a week or two? My life as a farmer is so much different from most other women, that many times I don't feel like my words fit in with theirs.

  8. LOL, you are so funny....and I LOVE coming by each day. I have no knowledge of the drug you mentioned, but that doesn't mean much. My daughter-in-law is a memory care specialist and director of a memory care facility. I will ask her tonight. She is always up to date on the latest.
Liked your idea on the fireplace and moving the current TV unit. I am always wrestling with my quilting storage and do now have it down to the lower half of a closet in my bedroom and OUT OF SIGHT. Love it, and it isn't too much to pull it out when I need to.
    Happy day to you,
    Marcia

  9. Atta girl, Judy....I'm leaving a comment and saying hello! I do love reading you every day and am always amazed at the parallels in our lives. I've been wondering about Prevagen too. Looked for it at Costco, but it wasn't there a month ago. Don't know anyone who takes it, so if you find out anything, I'll appreciate hearing about it.

    1. Kathleen From Aberdeen!!! I would love to try the Prevagen, if I knew for sure it didn't interfere with my old people meds. LOL. Maybe Marcia can find an answer for all of us. :-) It is awfully expensive, isn't it?

      Delete
    2. Yes, from Aberdeen in the glorious state of Washington! I haven't seen Prevagen any where to check on the price. I would love it to be a preventative for Alzheimers, which runs rampant in my family. I know that's too much to hope for, and entirely unrealistic.

  10. OK,ok! So I will leave a comment.
I look forward to reading about your daily life. I admire how busy you can be and how contented you are with everything. I am a fellow MSU fan.
Looking forward to Sundays game and then the Super Bowl to follow. Wish I lived nearer, you could teach me to crochet.
    Are you happy now? haha

  14. You DO get a lot of comments. Its all relative. Relative to what I have no idea. LOL

I read some niche blogs that get 0 to none, though the content interests me. Why do I not comment on these blogs, either? Personally, I comment on blogs when two impulses intersect. One: the post is self-reflective, comfortable, and revealing, like a friend chatting with me. Two, and this is a big one: the poster replies to my comments. If my comments just sit there, flat, it's like the poster has dropped the conversational ball. Why comment if they drop the ball?

70-80 hits - that's a lot - so happy for you! When I read a post I'm curious about, I go back to read others' comments. So I count for at least 3 of these hits :-)

    3. LOL There's no 'supposed to'. Just saying what attracts me to a blog is the author's involvement.
