P. T.

The tendons and muscles of the rotator cuff.

The dark stars are the bad spots.  They are also where she puts her thumbs and presses until they come out my pectorals in front.

4 yelps yesterday, so I did not reward myself with a treat.

    1. They are getting a teeny bit better--still arms and hands get numb when I sleep.

  2. How often are you going? Hope it's helping.

    1. Going twice a week for 6 weeks--then maybe more. If doctor approves, Medicare will pay for extra weeks.

  3. Ouch, that even looks painful! Stick with it and treat yourself anyway ;-)

    1. I am playing a game with myself. If I tolerate the pain and don't yelp (a moan is okay) then I stop at the gas station on the way home and buy myself two chocolate covered cherries. LOL

    1. Me too--usually on my lower back and hip joints. Then I got new hip joints which helped my back---a little bit.

  5. I'd be yelping all over the place! You're a real trooper. Britt gave me a massage last night on my neck & back; it hurt LOL but it helped!

    1. Yes--it hurts powerfully, but it seems to be helping. My left shoulder is moving back into place and not curving forward so much. Arthritis is the big problem that causes all our neck and shoulder and other joints pain and problems.

  6. I sure hope this helps. How long before you should see a difference?

    1. Seeing a bit difference in the normal every day pain level, it is less, but my arms and hands still go numb--depending on how I hold my neck/shoulder.

  7. Sorry, they got so tight... Somehow... Don't know how, since I haven't known you long enough to know how. They didn't get this tight, over night......

A chiropractor told me to lift and rotate my shoulders, round and round to the front, and round and round, to the back. Do this every now and then. I just did it, now.

    Thank you for the reminder.

And we all know, how when we stop and pay attention, our shoulders are in an "up to our ears" position, so often. -sigh- Put 'em down, and rotate!!! :-)

    1. Yes--I do that exercise too. Also pulling my elbows back as far as I can.

  8. Goodness. OUCH! You must have some mean knots in there, along with the arthritis. Sounds like you're in good hands, though, and I hope you get ALL the extra sessions you need. Be happy you haven't torn your shoulder tendons clear through. That's what I did with a couple of those. ouch. I only got numb AFTER the operation to sew them back together. But I got better, and you will, too. Please. Lots of extra TLC to yourself! If it helps any...it's just a mechanical thing or two wearing out, not the whole system.

    1. The lower "star" was torn 30 years ago and messes with me every few years--until I get PT and then it calms down for awhile. I am so glad Medicare pays for things like this. It's like $30.00 a session, twice a week. I could not afford that.
