Hanging tough on a Tuesday..............

The warmest February on record in the Mitten State.  Then March arrived.

Single digit temps at night.  In the 20's during the day and.....snow.  Oh not as much as that N'orEaster heading to the right coast.  We were on the north edge of it and only got 2" up here, Detroit (south of here) got more--about 5".  We are expecting a little bit more, but no big deal.

I actually drove out into the snow for my PT yesterday afternoon.  The visibility was poor, but the big road in front of our park was fine.  They salt it heavily, so it is always clear.  That's why every few years, I have to have an all new undercarriage put on my car--from all the salt caused rust.

The appliance repair guy got her 4 minutes after I got home at 4:00.  He not only lit the pilot light, but put in a new thermo-couple...just in case, so the gas would keep flowing like it is supposed to.  The guy that came last year, about this time, did the same thing.  That should keep me for another year, unless we have another gale force, 60mph, wind gusts.

I saw Dar's friend come and pick her up again Monday morning.  They were back in 90 minutes.  I felt kind of bad that Dar still can't get around, but then, 15 minutes later, she and her Daddy hopped in her car and took off.  Back in an hour, and as I was leaving for PT, she was in her car driving out ahead of me.  I wondered why her friend picked her up this morning, as Dar and Daddy were in and out half a dozen times over the weekend.
==================
Today's agenda--get my hair cut and eyebrows trimmed!!!!  This is imperative!

    1. While my neighbor Jackie was gone, I saw a car stop in her driveway and a couple of kids walk into her house. I thought they must know her with the ease they opened the door, BUT--I did write down the description of the car and the license number. When she returned 3 days later, she found a lot of her stuff missing. When I heard about it, I gave her the info I had. The reason the two kids walked in so easy--they were her twin grandsons. They robbed her. I felt awful. She felt awful and each grandson got 5 years in prison. So--we need to watch out for neighbor's and write down anything that looks weird--we can always check with them later.

    1. My office is in the front. I can keep track of 4 houses just by sitting in one spot and looking.

  3. My eyebrows grow goofy now.
    I don't know what to make of Dar. I have boring people who live around me, or at least they never show any weirdness outwardly. It's kind of boring. The biggest thing is the guy one door down who rides his motorcycle up and down the cul-de-sac occasionally. We had snow flurries today, and there was ice on the trees this morning. Very beautiful and I didn't have to go outside. That made it even prettier.

    1. Snow is much better viewed from the inside. It looks like little silver winged fairies flying around.

  4. That picture ~ me, I'm afraid :) although there is only one neighbor close enough to "spy" on. I recently came to the conclusion his "wife/friend" must not be there anymore ~ :) :)

  5. Sincc I joined the YMCA I'll bet my neighbors can't figure out why I leave for two hours most every morning. I can't even believe I even went when the roads were icy! I don't think spring will ever come to Michigan.

  6. Winter really hit in March and can even surprise in early April in those Great Lakes states as I recall. Good for you looking out for neighbo. The gals across the street and I pay attention to each other's houses. Our police want us to call even if false alarm.

  7. So glad you made it to PT and back safely. I worry about you Michigan friends.

    Our kitchen window faces front, and when I'm in there I have a habit of constantly watching. Since we're on a dead end road (thank goodness) I get curious now and then about the neighbors who have 2 grown kids that are deep, deep trouble. That's not my business, but I feel for the grandchildren of the grandparents who are raising them. :(

    We're supposed to be in the 27-32 range tonight/and morning. I know that would be good for you, but YIKES. LOL

    xoxo
