Inch-By-Inch,......

.....it's getting there.

Saturday:

I put them up in the order they came out of the boxes, LOL

Last night, I caught someone who is not allowed up on the table, enjoying the Thomas Kincaid tree.

=====================================================

Today--I don't care what anyone says--a Christmas Tree should not come out of a box, have to be put together and its branches "fluffed"!

A Christmas Tree needs to come out of the woods--with its natural shape--and decorated.

This plastic world has become ridiculous!!

  1. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Very nice, Judy.

I've gotten the fireplace decorated. We did the tree today, and I helped H do the swags on the porch. That's pretty much it for this year. You place looks great.

What are you watching on TV in that sixth picture with the small table with the nutcrackers and candles. Are they wearing clothes? Looks like some nudity to me. Of course, my eyes are lousy. :)

  2. Love your decorations! The little someone on the table gave me a chuckle. And I so agree about the plastic trees! I hate trying to fluff out those stiff branches so I go to a fence row and cut a real cedar.

  3. You've got a lot of nice decorations, Judy. And so many of them!.

I've been getting the itch to get a real tree the last few years...just on last time before I give away all my ornaments.

    1. The month after Fred died, I cleaned out my rented storage unit and gave away all of my outside lights and decorations and my big artificial tree and a lot of inside decorations--to my sis and girls. Later that year, in November, I decided I needed a tree to make me feel better and.................that's the rest of the story . Most of these decorations I have had for years and years.

  4. Looking good, girl. I agree about the fake trees, but we do have a small
white one so not that hard to assemble. :)

  5. Your decorations are lovely. I love this month of celebrating Advent.

When my husband was able, we had real Christmas trees. Although I clean after the holidays, dried pine needles would appear thoughout the year. Then he got ill and it was up to me to do it all. When we moved into a bigger house and I was working full-time and he was mostly bed-ridden I made the decision that all of this real tree stuff was too much work.

Now I get our tree out and fluff it and decorate it lovely with all the old ornaments that bring back warm memories. It has made my life easier. My husband is still alive and better than he was those many years ago. He still is not a well man, but we are happy each year to decorate as much as we can.

  6. Your decorations look great! I was in the mood to get out the Christmas stuff the day after Thanksgiving and found that my prelit fake tree is no longer prelit. Well, technically it's HALF prelit.

Now I must go on a quest through my attic for lights to string on my prelit-less tree.

This little bump in the road ended my mood to decorate.

  7. You are getting into the festive spirit! My cat Thomas always behaves appalling where decorations are concerned. He walks under the tree with his tail held high because he knows it causes everything to shake and rattle. I guess he also enjoys the resulting attention from us! Jx

  8. Love your Christmas collections! I collect small trees and snowmen I guess. That's what I decorated my fireplace mantles with this year. I'll do a post soon about them.
