March's Lion

This guy came roaring in this morning.

We were supposed to get a big snow storm.  When I got up, there was barely a covering on the ground.

At 2:00, I walked up to wish Pearl a Happy Birthday and give her a hug.

An hour later, I came out to walk home and was immediately sprinkled on the head by freezing rain/ice balls and the street was slippery as heck!

At 4:00, precisely on the dot--so weird, the predicted snow hit.  It was clear as a bell at 3:59 and at 4:00, it was like a wall of snow hit and..................snowed until just a few minutes ago.  11:00

We were predicted to get 6-9 inches, but only got 5.5--which, here in Michigan is hardly a bother.

The snow plows will have the streets cleared tonight and by morning, we will be able to drive wherever we want.

I have an appointment with the Chiropractor at 2:45 tomorrow and don't expect to have any problem getting there.

  1. We had lion-like weather here, too. The day started out wet, with sun breaks now and again, but then high winds came up, hard rain, thunder and lightning. It started around noon, and 11 hours later, it's still going on. I hadn't thought about it being March 1....looking forward to the "lamb-like" weather at the end of the month!

  2. March came in like a lamb here. Yesterday was the most gorgeous day: blue skies and almost seventy degrees. I tell you, it was positively beautiful. I'm glad your snow will not be a bother for you. Snow is beautiful, but it's better when it doesn't pose a problem.

  3. Well we had both! Mild and springlike in the morning and afternoon and then late afternoon it got very windy, temps dropped, and now there's ice and a bit of snow out there.

  5. Yep March came in like a lion although it was a cub really! Not enough snow to cause any problems. However, it's cold out today and what little snow is on the streets is pretty frozen so be careful out there!

  6. We got a ton of snow, not as much as the last one but this storm came with ice so it was worse. Lots of closings. I should be shoveling but I'm not. We have 60 degrees in our 10 day forecast!

  7. We're getting the wind today. Please do not send the snow east!! My daffodils and hyacinths are coming up a month early. Nice to know March will end like a lamb.

Hope your shoulder feels better after the chiropractor.
