Intrigue

Hm-mm.

My 2nd ex-husband has mailed me a small letter.

He thinks it might be nice to "meet for coffee" and visit.

I am intrigued.

This is the man who abused me physically and emotionally.  The man who's 7th wife died a few months ago.

I am intrigued.

I haven't seen nor heard from him in 27 years.

I am intrigued.

Would he expect the same woman he knew back then?  Wouldn't it be kind of fun to show him the
much different, strong, carefree woman I am today?

Is he interested?  Wouldn't it be fun to show him the same open minded, happy, smiling woman he knew 30 years ago, without all the neediness?

I am intrigued.

He's 87 years old.  What could he do or say?  Nothing that could possibly affect me in any way.  I am not afraid of him in any way, shape or form.  I am not interested in him (or any man), but he might not know that.

"Well, Hi, Don.  What have you been doing these last thirty years, other than getting married and divorced...and married and divorced?"

Hm-mm.  I am intrigued.  It might be fun.

In the least, it would make an interesting blog post.  HAH!!!

  2. Oh brother, I hope if you are going to see him you do it in a public place. I personally wouldn't be intrigued enough to meet him and if he was interested in apologizing he'd do it in a letter. He's looking for number #8 to cook and clean for him and an x-wife is low hanging fruit.

    1. But he thinks he God's gift to women! How fun to see his attempts, plus he still owes me money!!! At 87, he's probably the one with "low hanging fruit"! HAH!

  3. I would not be the LEAST bit interested. Nothing in it for you, that's for sure.

    I agree with Jean.

  4. I could tell him I'd meet him for lunch and then pick the fanciest restaurant around and let him pick up the tab? HAH!!

  5. Yes, it would be interesting to read about what happens if you meet this man again. I can't help wondering if you'll see him again, or tell him, "No thanks!" Whatever you decide, I hope you'll let us know. Good luck! Nancy

  6. Or pick the fanciest place in town and not show up. That'll teach him.

  7. Meet him at the fanciest restaurant in town and be prepared to pay the check if he slips out the door on the way to the bathroom. Tell him you'll meet him if he brings the cash he owes you. But I like Dawn's idea. LOL

  9. Just being honest here, it doesn't sound the least bit intriguing to me. A trip to Walmart would be more interesting for you, I think. But if you go, I can't wait to read what happens. Haahaaha xoxo
