I was sitting in my recliner, I had the front door open and I heard something. I looked up toward the screen door and there was a lady with a little curly headed boy. He was about a year old and she was bent over, holding his little arms kind of up to steady him as he stood.
I didn't recognize either one of them and then she looked up and smiled at me and then I recognized both of them.
The woman was me and the little boy was my son Mark.
I didn't get up to go to the door and they didn't come inside.
We just looked at each other and smiled.
I wonder what the dream meant.

I thought the last election was bad, this one is going to flat out put me in the ward.
Trump has that brash, New York bully attitude/personality about him that I just hate.
Biden had/still has a propensity for being a liar and a Plagiarist and he appears to be senile.
I'm afraid in a debate, when Trump gets to beating on Joe, Joe is either going to lose it in a fit of anger, or get so muddled in his thinking, he won't be able to form a complete sentence. That will embarrass him and I actually would hate to see that happen.
Our Country is in pretty bad shape when these two men are the best we have to offer for the highest office in our land.
Dear Judy, I wonder what you will find in that dream when you gently examine it. I've had two very symbolic dreams in the past three weeks and they've helped me decide to get serious about writing.
ReplyDeleteAs to Trump and Biden: I do not agree with you about Biden. But I can see that when the two of them debate, things will be tense. Trump bullies and makes up lies instinctively as well as comes up with names for others to demean them. Biden, with his stutter that came from childhood has to spend a nanosecond or more to be sure he can say the words without stuttering. I do not think he is senile. Any more than I am, and I'm older than he. So there it is. I'm supporting Biden in everything I say. I believe that we must get out and vote to show where we stand. I'd rather vote for Elizabeth Warren, but we need her in the Senate. Peace.
Hmmm. I don't remember my dreams very often, and when I do they aren't pleasant ones. Anyway, the fact that you are smiling in the dream sounds good.

I just want to say ditto to what Dee wrote. Would I be happier with a younger candidate? Probably, but we have to pick from these two and I'll pick the one with a heart and soul over the one determined to undermined all our institutions and the Rule of Law.

ReplyDeleteAs someone who worked professionally with people who stutter, I respect anyone’s speech who is able to become more fluent. I’m also keenly aware of how challenging maintaining that fluency can sometimes be. For such a person to be a public speaker is to be admired. Unfortunately, the general public usually doesn't understand why they may speak as they do sometimes and misjudges them. Astronaut John Glenn’s wife stuttered, too, but finally was able to mostly overcome her issues, though not until she was older. She was finally able to be comfortable enough to publicly speak in some situations. Still, people who stutter must learn to accept and cope with a public that may find fault with the way they speak that they might not do if they understood the situation. No doubt Trump won’t have any reservations making fun of him even if he knows and others will get on the bandwagon. I hope Biden doesn't get flustered but could be susceptible in highly emotional situations as happens to most people who stutter.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was over home in W FL, I fell out of the bed; hit my head and got some pretty awful cuts (you know how our skin gets thinner with age). The only thing I can remember is that in my dream my cover was falling to the floor and I chased after it. LOL
