Comment Moderation

Because Mr. Sin Soleng from Thailand wants to copy someone's else's comment and use as his own and because if you click on the Thai letters under his name, you will be directed to an Erotic website, and if you visited there it wouldn't be good for any of our old minds and hearts, I have had to add Comment Moderation to my blog.

How he got on my blog, I don't know, but I picture him as a little short person that resembles a troll.

  1. LOL.... Oh Sweetheart! Those Little Short Trolls can go anywhere! Can get in anywhere!!!!

I don't know how you have gotten away without Comment Moderation, for so long!!!!

But once bitten, on goes the COMM. MOD!

  2. I'd not worry about "blowing my old mind," at that click-able link. I'd WORRY about the way, clicking on such click-able links, can install a nasty virus in your computer...

Thur turning your innocent computer, into a "bot." Which can then send all sorts of nasty stuff, out... FROM your computer.

And you don't even know it.

    Got Virus Protection?

    1. Yes I have. Supposedly the best anti-virus around. It catches a lot of attempted invasions, sometimes refuses to let me open a link someone has posted, which of course makes me even more curious. HAH!

    2. Those kinds of websites use 'crawlers' that look for certain words. That's how they land on blogs like ours. I don't get as many as I used to but I try not to use the "S" for that very reason.

  3. Another thing we love about our Macs. So far, there are plenty of Pc's out there, which are easy to infect, and make into "bots". So the bad guys haven't make them, to infect Macs.

Regardless, even on a Mac, the way-to-proceed is, NEVER click on a click-able link, that you do not KNOW or TRUST.

Not even sent, in an email, from a friend!!!!

If the email looks weird, delete it. E-mail the friend. Tell her, her computer might be infected. And might be being used, as a "bot."

Sending out Crap-O-La, to everyone on her Contact List.

This has happened, to a friend of mine. Who is very computer literate. And who taught me, to be always on my guard, web wise. So, it can happen to anyone.

    1. Also, the first entry in my e-mail address list is, 000 00000 000, that means if someone tries to send a bad gizmo to all my contacts, under my name, the numbers stop it. I learned that trick a verrrrry long time ago and so far, it works.

    2. How do you do that? I just tried add a contact with those numbers for an email address and the system wouldn't let me.

    3. You have to put the zero's in every line--name, address, i.e., every line. I did it years ago. Maybe it doesn't work with your type of e-mail> I have Outlook Express 2010.

  4. LOL Thank you for protecting our minds from who knows what!

    1. Well, you are younger so it might not affect you, but us olders don't need to look at Erotic photos!!! We could have a heart attack!!!

  5. Yep, thank goodness for comment moderation! And good for you for checking comments and catching the troll!

I'm a big believer in NEVER CLICK ON ANYTHING without verification, just like Luna Crone. Even if an email is from my Sister (or you!), I would text or call the sender first to double check. Email accounts do get hacked frequently!!

    Thanks, Judy

    1. My anti-virus even catches bad links on FB. A friend might post a link and I click on it and Bitdefender anti-virus comes up and says, "Malware--taking you back to safety." I like it a lot.

  6. While that has yet to happen for me, I'm glad you're using comment moderation now. My computer though is still acting up a bit especially with my email. UGH!!!

  7. I guess I feel somewhat relieved to know this person commented on someone else's blog too. There was a long list of comments he had used on my blog. I dared not click on his name, but did delete the comments. Things like this almost make me want to stop blogging.

    1. Oh, and I might add, rather than looking like a troll, I see him as being in a red suit with a pitchfork in his hand!
